Open for posting games: Now until Saturday September 10th @ 8 PM
Want list submission period: Sunday, September 11th until Saturday September 24th @ 8pm – firm
Results posted Saturday night September 24th if all goes well.
Meetup: October 1st from 9 AM to 11 AM drop off period, 12-2 PM pickup period at Meeple-a-thon 7100 NW Prairie View Rd Kansas City, MO 64151

Meeple-a-thon is a small local non-profit convention. It will run from Fri, Sep 30th 2022 at 4:00 PM CDT TO Sun, Oct 2nd 2022 at 5:00 PM CDT
It is $5 for a day pass and $10 for all three days and they have cheaper family pass options as well. We are hosting the trade at the convention for two main reasons. First all money goes to the Hillcrest Platte County Young Adult Housing program which helps provide housing to the homeless. Second it is a larger area that will have lots of area for people to game and do activities while we conduct the trade which will make things less hectic than last time.

By adding an item to this list you agree to the following rules:

0. Stay informed everyone is responsible for keeping up with the announcements and updates. This includes geekmail myself and other coordinators send on occasion and any announcements in the thread below.

1. Times and dates

1a) Item submission period: This trade list will be open to add and edit items until Saturday September 10th @ 8 PM

1b) Want list submission period: The want lists have to be created and submitted via the OLWLG until March 12th @ 8pm. Do not plan on submitting want lists last minute since the submission window may close at any time after the deadline. Have your want lists finished, submitted and confirmed before the deadline displayed in the OLWLG.

1c) After the results have been posted, everyone will have 24 hours to check the results for errors. Technical errors or mistakes within the responsibility of the organizer may cause a rerun of the trade in which case a new 24 hour period for checking the revised results will begin. Mistakes made by users while creating their want lists do not warrant a rerun of the trade and cannot be corrected once the trade is resolved.

2. Valid offers

2a) This trade is primarily about board games. All items must have an entry in either BGG, RPGG or VGG.

2b) An offer must not depend on third parties in any way. Do not offer items you don’t possess at the time of posting them. This includes pre-ordered items that are promised to be delivered by the trade date.

2c) Gift Cards to Mission Board Games are allowed. Be aware that by accepting a cash value you are conducting a direct sale and are subject to the associated 3% commission fee as required by the BGG Terms of Service. For details see Cash Value Trades in Math Trades.

2d) Money arbitrage is prohibited and will result in the incorrect want lists being omitted from the trade. Money arbitrage is defined as trading an item containing money for an item containing more money. The term “money” includes cash offers, PayPal transfers, wire transfers, gift certificates, etc.

2e) There is no general item limit per user. However, keep in mind that you (or your representative) need to be able to bring all your traded items to Meeple-a-thon

3. Item descriptions

3a. Please describe, as accurately as possible, the condition of the components and box, the language, and edition of your item and any sweeteners. You’re also responsible for making sure that your game is complete and you should note any missing pieces/components/etc. Language such as “components not inventoried”, “no guarantee”, “recipient’s responsibility to contact the publisher in the event of missing pieces”, etc. is NOT ALLOWED. Listings with such disclaimers will be removed from the trade. You’re on the hook to make sure your game is complete or describing how it’s not.

3b) If you notice after the item submission period that you are not able to deliver an item as advertised in the item description, you have to withdraw that item from the trade (i.e. submit an empty want list).

4. Item description formatting / OLWLG

4a) Using the OLWLG is mandatory for this trade.

4b) For Mission Board Game gift certificates, please use the generic item Outside the Scope of BGG. This may also be suitable for game bundles and ‘Pick x out of Y’ offers. They will validate all gift cards onsite prior to gift cards being surrendered.

4c) Please include an altname tag in the item description of generic items. Otherwise they will not be displayed properly by the OLWLG.

4d) If you offer several games in one item, it is recommended to include them via GeekLink (Insert Geek Link -> Board Game) for the OLWLG to recognize them as additional offers.

4e) The OLWLG will not be up to date with the trade list all the time. The synchronization has to be triggered manually by the math trade organizer from time to time. You can set the OLWLG to receive a notification about each synchronization event via GeekMail.

5. Editing and deleting items

5a) You may delete items prior to the submission period. Do not delete items from the trade list after the item submission period (see paragraph 1a for the deadline) since this will affect the numbering of all of the following items and cause confusion and annoyance. If you change your mind about trading an item after the item submission period, submit an empty want list for the item.

5b) You may want to offer your item up for auction/sale/trade in other places simultaneously. This is okay but if you sell or trade items elsewhere during the item submission period (see paragraph 1a for the deadline), please delete those items from the math trade.

6. Want Lists Please Read This.

6a) By adding an item to one of your want lists you agree to accept it in exchange for your respective item. Check your want lists and all of the item descriptions thoroughly before finally submitting your want lists!

6b) All want lists have to be created and submitted via the OLWLG (“Submit Your Lists Here!” -> “Submit My Wants”).

6c) Want lists may be edited and re-submitted any number of times during the want list submission period (see paragraph 1b for the deadline). After editing your want lists and saving the changes you have to submit them again to become effective (“Submit Your Lists Here!” -> “Submit My Wants”).

6d) Make sure to re-check the descriptions of the items on your want lists thoroughly before finally submitting your want lists. Items you added to your want lists before the item submission deadline may have changed since then.

6e) Mistakes you make while creating your want lists do not warrant a rerun of the trade and thus can not be corrected once the trade is resolved.

6f) All participants are responsible for bringing their games to Meeple-a-thon . If you have a representative you trust, they may bring your games on your behalf. You are still responsible. Meeple-a-thon is hosting but they in no way guarantee your trades and are not responsible for any issues. I and the others running this are not are not independently wealthy enough to guarantee your trades.

8. Miscellaneous

8a) The organizers has the final say in all decisions and disputes.

8b) The trade will be resolved using TradeMaximizer with official names and the following options: allow-dummies require-colons require-usernames linear-priorities. Everyone will be able to reproduce and verify the results using the published want lists and the same set of options.

8c) Items that do not comply with the above rules may be omitted from the trade and will be deleted or treated as items with empty want lists. This may happen without further notice during critical phases of the trade (e.g. when a decision has to be made as soon as possible and there is no time to ask questions and wait for answers). Users who don’t follow the rules may be suspended from the trade.

8e) While > 99% of the time trades go through smoothly, you are dealing with humans. Humans let other humans down and sometimes take advantage of them. Humans also sometimes make mistakes. If you are not ready to accept this fact, I suggest you refrain from entering this trade.

Please remember, every green checkmark in the OLWLG means you are agreeing to make that trade. Once you submit your wants and the window to resubmit closes, you’ve agreed to those trades, and are expected to honor them, even in the event of a mistake or disappointment.

I am running this trade because math trades are fun, exciting, and just plain awesome. I am donating my time both for selfish reasons (to make trades) and out of gratitude to those that moderated the city wide trades in past years. I am under no obligation to make everyone happy, nor will I try. Should you not like me or the way I run this trade, please refrain from entering.
